Welcome back, sorry for the delay since our last post, but we have been very busy!! Where to start...
Lets start with a little house update. Since our last post we have completed so much more at the house and it is looking so pretty! In anticipation of our upcoming Halloween Party at the house we had a few more projects that we really wanted to complete before hand. So we'll start with the main floor bathroom. We were able to get all of the wallpaper down, glue washed from the walls, drywall repairs completed, and we had a painter come in to help us get everything painted to perfection! Put up the art, and moved our washer and dryer in. It transformed so nicely! The paint color is Behr Marquee in Creamy Mushroom. Floors are vinyl plank in the color Clarmont Elm, the same color as the den, great room, and dining room.
In addition to the bathroom, we had the mud room hallway flooring installed and painted. It freshened that area up nicely too.
The stair project was also done and turned out very nicely! We ended up refinishing the veneer on the front of the steps and the short wall under the cupboards. This is the area going from the dining room up into the kitchen. Andrew applied the new veneer sanded the tread and then we stained them to match existing woodwork. It looks great!
And our final MAJOR project was the deck that extended off of the back of the house from the sliding door in the kitchen. A friend of ours Doug Stoddard came in and had this project started and finished like a boss in 4 days' time!!! It was amazing! And I love how it looks! If you have a project like this and would like Doug's information, he is an awesome contractor, who does clean work, just message me and I will send you his contact information for a quote! This area now provides us with an amazing outdoor space for entertaining.
We had our projects wrapped up and it was time to concentrate on Halloween decorating for our Wild Wild West Ghost Town Theme! We dressed up our skeletons, put up wanted posters of our friends, and created a photo op! We were utilizing several areas around the house and the garage. It all turned out great our friends came out in great costumes, and we had a wonderful night!
We had dinner, played games, enjoyed music and drinks, the kids were even playing guitars around the firepit in the backyard for a little sing along. So much fun!
That brings us to this past weekend, our last weekend at the boat for the season! They are pulling "The Other Side" out of the water for the winter on November 4th at 10 am. We have her all cleaned up, linens pulled, and fuel stabilizer in place. She will go into storage where we will work on more cleaning and projects over the winter months. It could not have been a prettier weekend to stay one more time.
On Sunday we left the Marina and headed North to Greenfield Village, where Andrew and I had tickets to enjoy there Hallowe'en program. They decorate the park with over 1000 carved pumpkins, have story telling vignettes and costumed actors throughout. They provided photo backdrops, and even had a screening of the original Frankenstein movie in Menlo Park. It was outstanding! I'll have a video coming out soon to youtube on this one for sure! Here are a few pics from our visit.
I think that about covers our most recent adventures, hope you enjoyed it. Below is a link to the video on our visit to Cedar Points Halloweekends as well! Thanks for following along, until next time!!
